Orlando Good Eats

Those who know me know… I most definitely LOVE to get my Eat-On, and living here in Orlando, FL., is no exception.  I will be posting my experiences from Restaurants I have visited that exceeded my expectations (with photos).  Of course, you can be your own Judge…

Santiago’s Bodega in Altamonte Springs

Five stars, two thumbs up and a clap back!  This place in Altamonte Springs is awesome sauce! A hidden gem (in a shopping center) tucked away in a quiet, serene, and quaint surrounding. Visited there for brunch and was blown away from the ambience, and eclectic (ness). Very Boho-Chic (so my style), comfy and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious!  You must try EVERYTHING!! Unlimited snow crabs, seafood dishes, pastas, chicken, Prime rib, desserts, salads. Breakfast items. The French toast with the apricot creme cheese…OMG.. Not to mention unlimited Sangria, Mimosas and Champagne. Our server was John (ask for him). He provided no less than 5 star service! Very attentive, engaging and knowledgeable about the menu.  We wanted and needed nothing. He suggested the sparkling sangria and he was right on!! Had a marvelous and most memorable experience. Reservations are  needed!  A great place to CELEBRATE LIFE!
You already know I’ll be back. Enjoy!

Hillstone (Formerly Houston’s) Winter Park

This experience is definitely for the “Grown and Sexy”.  No flip flops or club wear allowed.

Tucked away amongst Mature trees and the banks of Lake Killarney; just off of South Orlando Ave…  You will immediately discover as you enter the Restaurant, what an experience you are going to have.  You are welcomed by a smiling and professional Staff, impeccable world class/five star service and delicious food/presentation.   Visited there for dinner and ordered the Pan-fried Red Snapper, and let me tell you…. I am STILL talking about it. Lightly battered, crispy and tender in the middle, seasoned to perfection….I was delighted by the portion sizes!!

After your meal, enjoy the romantic surroundings outside on the deck as you enjoy the calmness and serenity of the surrounding Lake. I hear this is a good place to go for happy hour as well so I will be back!

Café Murano: Cranes Roost Blvd  (Altamonte Springs)

A Gem of a Spot YOU MUST VISIT!

I was good with just the Live entertainment and drinks.  The Atmosphere is Upbeat, Great music, Mature crowd, Great drinks.  Returned for dinner on a Tuesday, and was BLOWN AWAY!  Surprised to see such a busy crowd and almost full to Capacity!   Ok, back to the food….

Let’s start with the Sour-dough bread and Olive Oil dip that’s served before your meal. The bread was the softest, tastiest, melt in your mouth, and the dip was AMAZE BALLS.  But be careful, you won’t have room for dinner!  Ordered the Calamari Fritta which was tender, well seasoned and cooked to perfection; Veal in which I understand is the BEST EVER, tender and cooked with Love; Shrimp and Scallops Checca – was so good, I am lost for words.  Left feeling Full and Satisfied.  Maybe we’ll have room for dessert the next visit.

OH YES….We will be returning!

Tibbys New Orleans Kitchen: Cajun/Creole (Altamonte location)

If you don’t know about this place, you bettah ask somebody!  This place is the Bomb, Awesome Sauce!  The atmosphere is Eclectic and N’Orleans-like.  Try the Blackened Catfish Imperial with Crawfish Entrée (pic above).  Deelish and Delightful indeed!  Follow your meal up with the infamous Beignets.  Umm, Umm, good.

Copper Canyon Grill ( International Drive)

I read a review suggesting that one should try the Meatloaf and of course, I had to visit and find out who else makes the best Meatloaf besides Myself!   This place DID NOT disappoint!

READ THESE WORDS CAREFULLY… I – HAVE – NEVER – TASTED – MEATLOAF – THIS GOOD – EVER –  AT A RESTAURANT!!  Trust me.  Whomever came up with this recipe, put their ENTIRE FOOT AND BACK into this Tasty, Succulent and generously-sized portion of pure Heaven.   You will not want to be disturbed while eating this…. Just sayin’.

TR Fire Grill – (Winter Park) – Industrial Chic American

Somebody Please Call 9-1-1  for this Dessert!   The Buttery Seared Lemon Pound Cake!   O-M-G!!  First of all, anything with butter in it – gets my attention.   This dessert deserves Two thumbs up, a Hallelujah, Clap back and a Twerk!  The Vanilla ice-cream and Blueberry sauce is a wonderful contrast with the Lemon.  It’s decadent, rich, sinful and light!  It was almost too good to eat.  NOT!!
