Like many of us Full-time Professionals and Mothers, we like to Shop, Dine out, Travel and most importantly – Save money so we can Repeat and plan for a better future!

Here are some examples that you can implement into your Lifestyle so you can Glow in Your Shine!

  • Track your spending  – seeing on paper where your money is going will surprise and alarm you

  • Create a budget  – allow yourself a certain spending limit and stick to it

  • Pack your lunch for work – $8.00 here and there over a coarse of a week is at least a nice pair of Jeans

  • Make your own hot brew or ice coffee  – I have saved a nice penny just by passing up on the Coffee shops

  • Stack up on snacks (nuts, oatmeal, fruits, crackers, chips, tuna, water, drinks) and keep on hand at your desk at work – I haven’t bought anything from a vending machine in MONTHS

  • Buy in bulk when your favorite items go on Sale (lotions, perfumes, nail polish, hair products)

  • Use coupons – clip and even use the electronic ones from the Grocery store.  My favorite App is the Saving’s Catcher from Walmart. You actually earn savings back to spend!

  • Car pool, or use Public transportation, Telework from home – this will save on Gas to use for a weekend Getaway

  • COOK (instead of dining out) for a period of time – so you can splurge at a Nice restaurant

  • Be a Thrifty shopper and shop at Consignment and Thrift shops.  You’ll be surprised at the savings and selections of designer wear

  • Stock up on Clearance items when things go out of Season – the savings are a reason to celebrate!

  • Start your Holiday shopping in the Summer – having it all done by October is the goal. That way, you can actually enjoy the festivities instead of being stuck in traffic or shopping lines

  • Plan ahead to get the best rates for flight travel – at least 30 days is good for the best deals.  Booking on a Tuesday or Wednesday may even save you some money too

  • Back to basics – use what you have at home to clean around your house that works just as good  – you’ll be surprised how far Vinegar, Lemons, Baking Soda and Salt can go

  • Do your own Mani’s and Pedi’s – incorporate this into your “Me time” in a separate part of  your house away from everybody

  • Make your own Bath Soaks – this may be a stretch for some, but I have learned to do this and you’ll be surprised that most of the ingredients you have in your kitchen

Start now.  You will see BIG impacts from small changes.
